John V. Kincaid

Officer John V. Kincaid was appointed as an officer on May 4th, 1895, and served with the Kansas City Police Department for 31 years.
On May 6th, 1926, Officer Kincaid was injured in an automobile accident while chasing several suspects. He died 10 days later from his injuries. Officer Kincaid was previously seriously injured in 1909 when he was run down by a runaway horse and carriage.
Officer Kincaid was survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Kincaid, daughter, Grace, and brothers, Charles and William. His parents were Rolin & Mary Kincaid.
