Willard Laurence Ferguson

Officer William Laurence Ferguson served in the United States Army for three years. Following his service, Officer Ferguson was with the Kansas City Police Department for one year. 

On February 8th, 1923, Officer Ferguson was shot and wounded as he arrested a suspect who had robbed two filling stations. Officer Ferguson was able to return fire, killing the suspect. Officer Ferguson died 11 days later from his wounds.

He was 23 years old at the time of his death. He was survived by his wife, Frances Evelyn Ferguson, and a son, Willard Jr.
