William Kenner

Officer William Kenner was a World War I veteran. After his service in the military, Kenner served with the Kansas City Police Department for 23 years.

Patrolman Kenner entered a tavern where a suspect had just shot another man in the foot. In an attempt to disarm the suspect, Patrolman Kenner ordered for the suspect to drop his shotgun but the suspect shot and killed Patrolman Kenner. 

The suspect was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to 10 years in prison on November 9, 1955.

He was survived by his wife, Agnes.
